You transmit very good energy and good disposition. Are you always like this?
Sónia Silva:
None of us are always like this. However, we all have the opportunity to choose what we want to be in the lives of others. I choose, whenever possible, to positively impact those around me.

Sónia Silva:

What is your life motto?
Sónia Silva:
Per aspera ad astra.
Do you like the city of Porto? Why did you come to live here?
Sónia Silva:
I've always liked it a lot. I decided to try other cities at a time when teleworking allowed my professional area to operate anywhere.
When did you start bodybuilding and why?
Sónia Silva:
I started bodybuilding training in 2013 to understand the market as an end-user of a software I wanted to develop and also because I wanted to gain weight. I ended up discovering a great passion.
What is the biggest challenge in balancing professional, personal and athlete life?
Sónia Silva:
Being able to apply the same delivery/effort to all three points simultaneously.
Do you plan on competing again?
Sónia Silva:
I've thought about going back this year, just for fun. However, it is not an aspect that I consider exploring on a professional level as I know, from the outset, that my level of dedication is not total.
How many days a week do you train?
Sónia Silva:
6 days.
What supplement cannot be missed in your daily life?
Sónia Silva:
Vitamin C, Vitamin D and Whey.
Do you do cardio on an empty stomach? How long of cardio?
Sónia Silva:
I usually do cardio after breakfast but currently at the intensity I feel like. Some days I walk, others I run for 4 to 60 minutes.
Which muscle group do you like to exercise the most?
Sónia Silva:
Leg training.
Are you combining gym with combat? How do you reconcile?
Sónia Silva:
6 bodybuilding workouts (Mon-Sat)
3 MMA training sessions (Mon-Wed-Fri)
3 cardio workouts (Tues-Thu-Sat)
Do you like boxing or bodybuilding more?
Sónia Silva:
I still enjoy bodybuilding more. I still have a lot (almost everything haha) to learn in combat sport.
Have you ever been injured in boxing? I'm afraid to try it.
Sónia Silva:
I only hurt my toe but nothing serious.
What advice would you give someone who wants to enter the world of Fitness?
Sónia Silva:
Never stop believing in overcoming your limits and never believe that you are special.
I need to train but I lack motivation. 1.65cm 67kg I know it's time. What is the first step?
Sónia Silva:
I know, it's a cliché, but in the absence of motivation you'll have to become disciplined. Leaving the house to train without thinking about it, willingly or unwillingly.
Who is your biggest inspiration?
Sónia Silva:
My father.
What is your goal for next year?
Sónia Silva:
At a sporting level? Just staying active in this way allows me to release all the energy I have inside.
