“Bodybuilding is the sport that runs in my blood, the one that makes me wake up every day wanting to be better. This moves me not only from a lifestyle perspective, but also from a competitive perspective.
It all started innocently enough, on June 1, 2016, with me joining a gym at the encouragement of friends and with some desire to change physically, as I was the thinnest young man in my group of friends. But that innocence quickly turned into a huge passion for training and the time of day he spent in the gym.
A few years passed and knowledge about the competition appeared on the internet, until in 2019 I went to see a bodybuilding event for the first time, and then I promised myself that within a year I would be the one on stage.
All said and done, in 2020 I made my debut on stage, under the guidance of my current coach, Luís Postiga, with a perfect debut, achieving the first classification in my category, Men's Physique -5%, in the Wabba Spring Cup, title which I successfully defended in 2021.
Bodybuilding is very different from any other sport, as it requires complete dedication to it, 24 hours a day are planned with just one objective, including strict nutrition, intense training and rest.
When you do this at a competitive level, you need to be aware that some aspects of life will be conditioned, such as social life.
But this one also elevates us more than any other, due to its ability to show us that all the results we desire are only at the distance of our own work and effort, and that if we dedicate ourselves to something 100% for a long period of time doing something we really love, no matter how difficult it may be, there is no way the end result will be negative, because far beyond the classifications, the greatest reward we can receive is the satisfaction and pride in the work done, and the feeling of duty accomplished.”

“I've been training bodybuilding for 11 years and I've always been a fan of it, ever since I was little and watched Arnold Schwarzenegger and Stallone films and wanted to have muscles like them. I've wanted to compete for a few years now, and last year I decided to really start preparing. My preparation lasted 11 months and I can't deny that it was quite tough, especially in terms of calorie deficit and in the last 3 months before the test, the so-called pre-contest.
It's a sport that takes a lot of time, especially in the competitive part, as there is a lot of cardio to do, training, cooking, preparing meals and still having to work and have some social life. For some people the bulk (muscle mass gain phase) is quite difficult as they find it difficult to eat large quantities, this doesn't happen to me, but when it comes to going into a calorie deficit, it was difficult for me to see my carbohydrates so reduced, because without them the strength is not the same, the psychological starts to be affected and I have to continue with the training and cardio more and more intense and when it comes to the part of having to do bi-diaries then yes, it really cost me a lot , I had to find strength that I didn't even know where it came from.
I ended up having quite good results for those who were on stage for the first time, in which I counted the NPC in an international federation with a 2nd and 3rd place.
I'm quite happy with the decision I made to start competing because it was something I've wanted for a long time, and I agree that our dreams and goals are to be realized and we have to fight for them so that our lives make sense.
With this I know that my psychology is prepared for everything, for any other situation in life, because I managed to overcome myself, I always accomplished everything I had to do without making mistakes and it made me see that we can be anything we want, just don't give up. and be disciplined and the results will appear sooner or later.”

“In recent times, the growth of bodybuilding and the hype surrounding this sport has grown immensely, which is incredible for all of us who practice it.
The number of young boys and girls, full of potential, who are just starting to train and already say they want to compete is unbelievable!
So I decided to leave here a small testimony of my experience, which was without a doubt the most challenging of my life!
Just like you, I train “every day”, I diet, I always do my best, I follow our idols on YouTube in their preparations and see what they go through, but in reality, will…
Are you willing to do the same things every day? Are you willing to really know your limits and have to overcome them? Are you willing to say “No”? Are you willing to do things you don't want to do every day? Are you willing to go train even when you don't even have the energy to talk?
If your answer was “Yes” to all of them, then you will also be willing to get to know a new “I”, a side that you have not yet known and that will make you a “differentiated” person.
You have to really want it, you have to go through a painful and long path, where the word DISCIPLINE commands.
But believe that the pleasure of overcoming you have at the end of each day, and the pleasure of stepping on stage knowing that you did everything in your power, is incomparable.
Do this for love and not for fashion."
