Healthy eating habits depend mostly on one rule: variety. Only then do we have access to all the nutrients our body needs!

Another myth that goes around the internet is that we should completely give up carbohydrates, but this is not black and white. We must be aware that a balanced diet requires carbohydrates and that these must represent a significant part of the calories ingested throughout the day, balancing their intake with proteins, of animal or vegetable origin, and fats, yes, because just like other nutrients, fats are also necessary for our body.

Lipids are one of the main constituents of the brain, which reveals their importance in our diet!

Another thing to keep in mind is that quantity is not synonymous with quality. In this sense, we must adapt each meal to the needs of our body taking into account our weight, height and the energy expenditure we make throughout our day!

It is possible to be an athlete and follow a healthy diet that suits our body.

November 8th is World Healthy Eating Day, inspired by this day, we share a practical, healthy and nutrient-packed recipe:

Whole wheat noodles with spinach, grilled tomatoes and ricotta!

Noodles, from the Italian tagliarini, are one of the types of pasta that are easily found in any supermarket. In the case of this recipe, we chose the wholemeal option in order to create a more balanced dish.

Whole noodles are also an excellent source of B vitamins, thus helping to prevent premature aging of cells and even improve the well-being of our brain!

Spinach, grilled tomato and ricotta: An explosion of flavors!

This powerful fusion of ingredients completes the benefits we can obtain through this recipe. Spinach is rich in calcium and iron, vitamins A and B complex, tomatoes are a strong antioxidant agent, reducing the risk of heart disease and, finally, ricotta, which in addition to giving a special touch to the recipe, is rich in calcium!

Ingredients:

1/2 Pack of whole noodles
4 pieces of roma tomatoes
2 spoons of extra virgin olive oil
2 garlic cloves, cut into slices
Salt and pepper to taste
Thyme leaves to taste
1 package of chopped spinach
200 g ricotta, cut into rustic pieces

1 Step

On a tray, place the tomatoes with the garlic on top, drizzle with olive oil, salt, pepper and thyme, and place in the oven until roasted!

2 Step

In a frying pan, sauté the spinach in olive oil, with salt and pepper.

3 Step

Cook the pasta according to the instructions on the package!

4 Step

Finally, on a platter, place the pasta and sautéed spinach, on top of the roasted tomatoes.
