The importance of being well equipped for your WOD
Functional Training is designed to push your body to the limit and make you a machine. But to be able to push your body to the limit in comfort and safety, you must use appropriate equipment.
High socks:
A good pair of high socks will help you warm up your leg muscles better, preventing cramps, strains and inflammation. Ideal for rope training, weight lifting and Box Jump.
Leggings
When we talk about women's gear, leggings are essential. They are practical, comfortable and allow great freedom of movement. It also helps if they are breathable and elastic… and ALWAYS opaque!
Shorts
The wrong shorts are one of the most common mistakes in Functional Training. Shorts that are too tight and lack flexibility are a big no. Many times they even end up tearing during elasticity exercises and weight lifting. Shorts must allow fluidity of movement.
Compression Clothing
Compression clothing can do wonders for your resistance. It compresses muscles and improves circulation, also reducing the accumulation of lactic acid. This way, you will feel less tired and may even prevent injuries!
